HIGHLAND COWS are back in  stock!

We've MOVED! Check us out here

MOTTA LIVING... It's our new site ♥ ♥

The humble highland cow wall art is one of our most popular pieces and it is easy to see why. These gorgeous beasts are hand made so no two cows are completely the same. Each cow comes with its own personality and as we've seen from our customers, they come out in some wild and wonderful ways.

Group of cows in fancy dress

It takes up to a day to craft each highland cow head by hand, using individual twigs of wicker and rattan.  This is why each cow is unique. A touch of faux taxidermy can really add to the modern country cottage look in your home.

Our cow heads come in two sizes. The smaller version comes ready for wall mounting and is lighter in colour. These charge out as soon as they come into stock and there is often a waiting list on them. We have seen these gifted as house warming presents, wedding presents and Christmas gifts.

Two Highland Cows

In fact, we once did a 40-mile round trip to the not-so-local parcel office to ensure one customer received their highland cow head gift in time. It was the last day of shipping before Christmas and there were moments to spare before the doors on the shipping office closed. The cow made it to its recipient on time and made their Christmas.  Perhaps Des Res should set up a second office at the North Pole?

We also stock these wonderful heads on stands. They are a larger version of the wall mounted highland cow and are able to be free-standing.  Perfect if you like to change your room around with the seasons as your cow can be easily moved.

But did you know that these larger heads can be wall mounted too?  We source a flat back to enable you to hang these on your walls.

But which of our highland cows is right for you?

If you have lower ceilings with less available wall space then the smaller highland cow is for you. He doesn't demand the full attention of the room (although he will probably get it), but he loves being in living spaces.

Now, if you have large open spaces, high ceilings or you are a restaurant or pub then you might find our larger highland cow fills your space better without looking lost.

As our larger cow comes with a stand, you don't need to wall mount him. So, if you are short of vertical space or simply don't want to have one on the wall, then the larger cow might be better for your room.

Gather a herd

We have some customers who have gathered a whole heard of cows and cluster them on the walls together, one for each member of the family. We love this idea and they really do work well grouped together. They are pieces of art for your wall after all so mix them up with your other artworks.
