We are sure you will love the item you have purchased, however should it arrive damaged please contact us at immediately (within 3 days including weekends), or call us on 01386 257654 stating what the damage is and to arrange for an exchange. If no contact is made within 5 days to report the damage then we are sorry but no refund or exchange will be given.

Changed Your Mind?

Should you wish to return the item please email us at stating your reason for returning the product and return the item within 14 calendar days of receipt of the package unused. We will gladly offer a full refund back onto your card or organise an exchange or gift vouchers to the full value of the item. The return postage cost is at your expense. Returns made after 14 calendar days and up to 30 days will be given the refund value in vouchers only. After 30 days have expired NO returns will be accepted.


Refunds or exchanges will be offered on any basket received damaged in transit. When ordering multiples of the same baskets they will be sent to you with the closest match of colour and size possible, unless there is a dramatic change in colour variation or size then baskets can be exchanged but not refunded. We will always send you an image of your baskets before purchase if requested. Please take the time to read the following.

All baskets are handmade and will therefore naturally have a variance in size and colour. This can be by a few cms but in general the sizes shown are a good average of the size given by our suppliers.

The colour variance is due to the rattan/wicker being from a living plant and each plant is individual.

When customers are purchasing multiples of baskets, we endeavour to make sure that the size and colour are as close as possible to each other, but this cannot be guaranteed and is the beauty of choosing to have a handmade basket in your home.

Damaged Goods

If the item you ordered arrives damaged please contact us within 3 days from delivery (including weekends) by either phone or email and attach images of the damaged item and order number. We will then contact you to arrange a replacement. We are sorry but after a maximum of 5 days we will be unable to refund or exchange the product.

Please Note

Personalised, bespoke, made-to-order, special orders (orders taken/made at the customers request), personal or perishable items are non-refundable, unless faulty. Also, that we cannot offer a refund via cash or cheque.


Items that are returned can either be exchanged or credit vouchers given (at sale value). No cash refund will be made and the the item must be returned at the customers own cost unless faulty.

All returned items must be packaged very carefully (in the original packaging) and securely and sent via a postal service or courier. It is advised that you use insured and registered/tracked mail. It is important that you keep all the details of posting, and please note that DesRes Home cannot accept any liability for loss or damage of the item in transit. Should an item arrive damaged you will be contacted by email explaining this and images of the broken product will be attached. If you require the broken product being returned, this will be a chargeable expense and no refund for the product will be made.

Any overseas orders requiring a refund will be refunded in Sterling. DesRes Home will take no responsibility for any changes in the exchange rate and any loss of currency. Please take this into consideration before placing any orders.

Postage, Packaging and Delivery

Please Note

Every delivery will arrive by courier and will require a signature. You can specify a safe place for your parcel to be left in the comments box at the checkout if you don't think there will be anyone available to sign for the item.

It is important to us that your item arrives on time and in first class condition and we are happy to have your item delivered when it is convenient for you. If you or an alternative contact are going to be unable to open your package straight away, then please contact us so we can organise a more acceptable delivery date for you.

On receipt of the order you MUST open and inspect your goods immediately. You have three days from delivery to report any damage to us by phone or email. We are sorry but after this time we will be unable to refund or exchange the product.

Standard Delivery Service

Mainland UK/Islands/Northern delivery (with some exceptions, please see below)  will cost £6.95 for items up to 15kg (dependant on size and quantity) and the delivery time will be within 3 - 5 working days unless the item is a special order, out of stock or requires special delivery, the details of which will be communicated to you.

Small Item Delivery Service

For items that are small and lightweight in size. Delivery is a 3-5 day service and will cost £4.95 - a signature will be required and will cover The Highlands and most British Islands. Should a number of items be ordered and the size and weight is outside the £4.95 parameters, you will be notified to pay the small uplift to the Standard Delivery Service. If you order an item that is covered by an alternative delivery service then payment will automatically be for this item.

Next Day delivery

Within the UK (with some exceptions) will cost £9.99 for items up to 15kg (dependant on size and quantity) and is available on a next day delivery basis during week days. Please call for a price for a Saturday delivery, otherwise orders placed on a Friday for next day delivery will be delivered on Monday unless the item is a special order, out of stock or requires special delivery, the details of which will be communicated to you.

Please note that orders must be placed by 1pm to ensure a next day delivery.

Click and Collect Service

Is a free of charge service where customers can collect their item/s by appointment. Please call 0044 1386 793240 to arrange a suitable time for collection.

Please make sure you have your order number to hand and proof of ID.

Fragile Delivery Service

Within the UK (with some exceptions) will cost £9.99 for up to 15kg (dependant on size and quantity) and is often a next day delivery service also. All items travel by a non-conveyable means. If an order contains an item that requires fragile delivery, then all the items where possible in that order will travel as fragile.

For areas that cannot be serviced by a fragile service, an alternative option will be offered.

Large Item Delivery Service

Within the UK (with some exceptions) from £12.00. This service is for items that are larger than those carried by the Standard Service and are not necessarily fragile items.

Special Delivery Service (with some exceptions) from £30.00

This service is for oversized or extremely fragile items that require a more personal and careful delivery. For areas that cannot be serviced by a special delivery, an alternative option will be offered.

Europe Delivery

From £15.00, the balance of the cost will be emailed to you for your acceptance. Some items (small/light) may cost less than £15.00, in this case a refund of the balance will be made. Alternatively, please email us in the first instance.

Worldwide delivery

From £50.00, the balance of the cost will be emailed to you for your acceptance. Some items (small/light) may cost less than £50.00, in this case a refund of the balance will be made. Alternatively, please email us in the first instance.

Wallpaper Delivery Service

There is a standard cost for delivery of all wallpaper of £15.00.

Please note that orders for wallpaper are classed as a special order and therefore unless damaged, we're sorry but it cannot be returned and are not refundable.


Postage and packing charges will be advised for the item at the checkout for all mainland UK dispatches (with the exception of some furniture, lighting, fragile and large items). Some areas such as The Highlands of Scotland, UK Islands and some areas of Northern Ireland do require an additional delivery cost. We will advise you of this by email once an order has been received. You can email or call us for further details of postal costs to these and other overseas destinations if preferred.

For items that are large, weighty or multiples of, will require an additional delivery charge. When placing an order please select a postage option and proceed through the checkout. DesRes Home will then notify you regarding the additional cost required based on your delivery details and once confirmed and the additional payment received, your item will be shipped. Alternatively, please contact us for further information.

Failure to accept receipt of a delivery and if a resend is requested, will incur a further  P&P charge  at the rates stated. However, in some instances the cost could be at the non subsidised rate of £8.50 (not £6.95) dependent on size/fragile within the UK. For other areas the cost of a resend will be the same as your initial charge.

Any customs/import duties that arise for any shipped or returned items must be paid for by the customer and are not included in the P&P charge quoted.

DesRes Home endeavour to recycle and be as ‘environmentally friendly’ as possible within our business parameters. Hence, ordered items will often arrive in recycled boxes or containers with recycled packaging; this does not affect in any way the first class quality of all our stock.

Stock Availability

We endeavour to always have stock of all our items with the exception of any products that are made to order, (this will be clearly identified with the product description). Should any item be out of stock we will advise you of the anticipated delivery date and an option to continue with your order should you wish.

Cheques will also be accepted but will require 5 days for clearance before the item can be dispatched and will incur a further charge of £1.50.

Order Cancellation

Should there be a delivery problem on any paid for order the customer once notified of this issue has up to 5 days in which the order/contract can be cancelled on standard items. Any orders for bespoke, made to measure, made to order, special, food or non standard items cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed on our supplier and will be dispatched. Any outstanding payments attributed to the product or delivery will be automatically taken from your payment card.


Data Protection Guarantee

We fully understand any sensitivity that you may have when leaving information on websites. We will guarantee that private information will not be passed on to third parties and details will only be used to contact customers that have expressed an interest in receiving news from us regarding product launches and special offers.

Email Confirmation is only confirmation that we have received your order or payment and is not acceptance of your order. DesRes Home Ltd retain the right to contact you and issue you with a full refund should complications arise with your order and could include – delivery charges, incorrect pricing and stock availability.
